Have you ever dreamed of your own air vehicle so you can travel all the way flying anywhere and reach your destinations in shortest time, so here is the vehicle of your dreams, the HOVERBIKE. It is your private helicopter.  Hoverbike is a bike which functions same as the motorbike but the difference is that motor bike travels on roads and the Hoverbike travels in air. Hoverbike is now in manufacturing process and almost completed by the Australians engineers while nowadays they are performing some test on its flight and defining its specification step by step after experiments. They say that these bikes will be available to you soon. Now below we discuss some important parameters and specification of this bike and see how this bike works. I am also embedding some pictures of Hoverbike which is taken from the official site of Hoverbike and are captured by the manufacturers.

The structure of Hoverbike look likes the road bike if it’s both wheel rotated 90°. It has a seat in its middle and to provide the thrust there are two fans on the front and back. In the first design of Hoverbike single blade fan is used however according to the manufacturer, modification is expected in the next models of Hoverbike. Hoverbike functions same as a normal bike it has a throttle through which you can vary its thrust, it has a handle through which you can turn the Hoverbike right and left although it’s turning is not very immediate as the road bike because it will be in air. Hoverbike has a dry weight of 110 kg and it can have maximum weight of 270 kg with fuel and driver. The fuel consumption of the Hoverbike is considerable it burns 0.5litres in 1 minute and for a ride of 1 hour you will need 30 liters of fuel. Hoverbike can have two fuel tanks. The built in tank have 30 liters capacity while an extra fuel can also be added to it and this will increase the fuel capacity of Hoverbike up to 60 liters. The cost of Hoverbike according to the manufacturers of Hoverbike is approximately $45,000AUD +/-$5000. Some other main specifications are given below:

Michael Pritchard designed a life saver bottle for purifying the contaminated water. This bottle can filter objects larger than 15nm and can purify the smallest known Bacteria(200nm) and smallest known Virus(25nm) from water except the dissolved salts. Lifesaver bottle is one of the most helpful invention contributing toward the days of disasters and also our common routines. It does all this without the aid of any foul tasting chemicals like iodine or chlorine. It actually use a carbon filter which have 15nm pores.

Lifesaver Bottle

The bottle’s interchangeable filter can purify between 4,000 and 6,000 liters (1,050 to 1,585 gallons).The process of filtering the water takes 20 seconds, allowing for 1.5 pints of water to be filtered.

Lifesaver Jerrycan is a larger version of Lifesaver bottle having same technology and working mechanism. The can allows for the filtration of 10,000 to 20,000 liters (2,650 to 5,300 gallons). One jerrycan filter can provide water for four people over a three-year span.

Lifesaver Jerrycan

In 2007, a few Lifesaver bottles were tested by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and found to completely filter out bacteria and viruses.

This is the equipment which must be shipped in the area where water is needed instead of supplying water because water can found everywhere but it is not suitable of drinking always, so Lifesaver Bottle and Lifesaver Jerrycan made it possible. These water filtering equipments are also very economical as compared to the today’s filtering techniques.

According to Michael Pritchard

“For $20 billion everyone can have access to safe drinking water.

So the 3.5 billion people that suffer every year… and the 2 million kids that die

every year will live.”

Here is the Video demonstration of these water filtering equipments:

Apple an amazing concept from designer Erik Hedberg and Zach Bennet. Well they suppose to design a device which would have embedded optical scanner in a glove’s finger tip (just as you can see from the image), which would help in every possible way to Blind People. Well, The geeky concept device is titled Thimble which will hopefully help blind people though.

Well, the embedded optical scanner in the glove’s finger tip would translate paper text into Braille messages. The Thimble utilize the iPhone integration via Bluetooth that pipes the connection to Internet to deliver news and confirm the current location via Braille messages transmitted through the Thimble’s sensor-laced fingertip.

Well, this is however till the time a concept though, but it is really needed if we want they should enjoy their lives every moment as possible.

After seeing the concept video from below you will come to know about in which possible ways the device can be helpful to them.

Toshiba launches dual-touch screen mini laptop  , Recently The big company Toshiba has launched a new dual-screen, touch-screen mini laptop designed for surfing the internet, sending and receiving emails and keeping up to speed with social networking sites on the move.

The Libretto W100 runs Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system, and has two 7in, LED-backlit touch-screens. Toshiba says its compact size and clamshell form factor provides “unrivalled flexibility”.

“One screen can be used for content creation, like Word documents or emails, while the other could be used to browse the web, social networks or multimedia programs,” said Toshiba, the company that invented the laptop 25 years ago. “Additionally, the device can also be used vertically thanks to an integrated accelerometer.”

Users type on a virtual keyboard, which boasts hectic feedback to provide a physical sense of keys being pressed. The Libretto W100 uses an Intel processor and a 62GB solid state drive to store applications, documents and movies, photos and music. It features integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and there is also a 3G version that will enable users to surf the web using the mobile phone network.

Incomparable PerformanceToshiba also unveiled two other new laptops, the Portege R700 and AC100. The R700 is a lightweight laptop with a 13in screen, which uses a new cooling system to ensure it doesn’t overheat, while the AC100 is only 14mm thick and runs Google’s Android operating system. Toshiba said it could boot up in less than a second, allowing users to get online quickly and easily.

All three new laptops will go on sale next month. Toshiba has not yet confirmed pricing details for any of the devices.

The Toshiba Libretto W100 is an innovative little computer which is either a dual screen tablet or a mini-laptop with a virtual keyboard instead of a physical one, depending on how you look at it. Toshiba plans to offer a limited number of the devices soon, but right now it’s only available in Japan — unless you’re willing to drop $1400 to order a unit from Conics, a retailer that specializes in exporting Asian computers to the West.

Mobility EvolvedThe folks at Wow Pow managed to get their hands on a unit from Conics, with the Japanese operating system converted to English. The site has the first unboxing video for the Libretto W100 that I’ve seen. There are also a couple of video overviews of the device. You can check out all the videos after the break.

As a quick refresher, the Toshiba Libretto W100 has two 7 inch capacitive touchscreen displays with resolutions of 1024 x 600 pixels. It has a 1.2GHz Intel Pentium U5400 processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, and a 62GB solid state disk. The device supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi, WiMAX, and Bluetooth and has a webcam, USB port, microSD card slot, and comes with 2 or 4 hour batteries. It weighs just over 1.5 pounds.

Probably one of the most interesting things Toshiba has done with this device is give it several different virtual keyboards, allowing you to hold it in two hands and type with your thumbs or place it on a tablet and treat it like a traditional laptop. You can see more about the virtual keyboards in my first look video.

The list price is expected to be around $1100, but Conics charges a premium for exporting the tablet from Japan. There’s no word on when the Libretto W100 will officially launch in the US.
