Availability of Prospectus

Prospectus are available from the Habib Bank Ltd University Campus Branch, Board Branch and UBL Campus Branch on Payment of Rs 300/- from 19-09-2011.

Candidates not holding Pakistani Nationality shall route their applications through the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. Applications complete in all respects must reach the respective College/institute concerned by 4.00 pm on 30 September, 2011.

Incomplete applications and applications received after due date and time shall not be entertained even though posted earlier. Furthermore, those applications which are wrongly addressed or delivered at a place other than the respective Office of the College/Institute concerned shall also not be entertained. The merit lists of selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board of One concerned College/institute on the dates as per schedule for admission.

Application for admission in:

i)                    B.Sc. Engineering in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Budding and Architectural must be submitted to University College of Engineering and Technology.

ii)                   B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering must be submitted to University College of Agriculture

iii)                 B.Sc. Metallurgy & Material Engineering must be Submitted to Institute of Advanced Materials

iv)                 B.Sc. Textile Engineering must be Submitted to University College of Textile Engineering, Khanewal Road, Multan

Admissions in Other Engineering Universities

Electrical Engineers of Punjab University participate in the contest “Guru of Science” held at GCU Lahore and different positions in the contest. Engineers Students from different Universities participate in the contest.

Syed Omer Saleh and Syed Hasan Gilani got first position in “Best Idea” competition.

Muhammad Azeem Javed and Mahzaib students of PU Lahore won second position in “Circuit Design” competition.

Hasan Shahid and Mahzaib got second position in “Speed Wiring” contest.

PRE-ADMISSION ENTRY TEST for ADMISSION TO B.SC. (ENGG) DEGREE COURSES SESSION 2011-2012 – FACULTY OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY
All the prospective candidates who intend to apply for admission to the 4-year B.Sc.(Engg.) degree courses offered at the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, University of the Punjab, Lahore for the session 2011-2012 are hereby informed as under.
The Candidates are required to appear in the PRE-ADMISSION ENTRY TEST for the year 2011 , to be conducted by the UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (U.E.T.) LAHORE , on 24TH July, 2011 . The Entry Test is mandatory for admission. 

The Faculty of Engineering & Technology will ACCEPT and consider VALID the Certified Result Card of Combined Entry Test 2011 issued by U.E.T. for the determination of academic merit for the above-mentioned forthcoming admission on F.Sc./B.Sc./Diploma(DAE) basis in Regular Morning Programme/Self-Supporting Evening Programme against Open Academic Merit seats as well as all categories of reserved seats EXCEPT for the Nominees of Provincial Government/Federal Government/GHQ, and those reserved for Foreign Students. The Entry Test marks will carry 30 percent weightage based on 70-30 formula to be adopted for determining the merit for the said admission. Candidate not appearing in the above-mentioned Entry Test will be considered ineligible for admission.

UET has announced the online application Procedure for the Entry Test 2011. Below given is the whole procedure of Applying for the Entry test 2011

ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Register yourself using CNIC number and a password of your choice. In case of age less than 18 years, CNIC number can be obtained from B-FORM. During registration process, a Tracking No. will be automatically generated on the
page.
2. Remember your password which will be used for future logins.
3. Select your Intermediate subject combination carefully (as per your Intermediate/A-Level Certificate). All DAE/BTech
candidates should only choose subject combination (Physics, Chemistry, Math and English).
4. Complete your personal information. You should enter the information exactly as it appers on your matriculation/O-level
certificate.
5. Before you Save your personal information, be sure that you have entered all information correctly. After saving the
personal information, you cannot further edit your information. If you need to edit the information, you have to register
again.
6. Once you have saved the personal information, take the printout of your application form by clicking on
“Print Application Form” button. You need Acrobat Reader installed on your computer before you can print.
7. This printed application along with attachments listed below shall be submitted to one of the Centres where you intend
to appear in the test.
8. The Entry Test Fee of Rs. 350/- should be deposited in the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore,
Account # 01280005533303,  HBL, UET Branch   Lahore using the challan form which will be printed along with the
Application. The Entry Test Fee can also   be deposited through any online branch of Habib Bank in any city of Pakistan.

UET Lahore Entry Test Result

The result of UET Lahore Entry Test for the admissions in the Engineering Undergraduate Progams of Engineering Universities of Punjab Province shall be declared on 15-09-2011 . The key for the Self Marking of UET Lahore Entry Test will be uploaded on the midnight of Test Date(11th September 2011). The UET combined entry test was conducted on SUNDAY, 11-09-2011 at 10.00 A.M and its result will be declared on 15th September 2011 according to the admission department of UET.

The students will able to apply for admission in the Engineering Universities on the bases of this Entry test Result.

Eligibility Criteria:

At least 60% marks or equivalent in both Matriculation/O-level and Intermediate/A-level examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects. Those waiting for their results may also apply. However, the intermediate/A-level result with at least 60% marks or equivalent is required at the time of joining the BS program.

Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidates is made on the basis of Matric /O-level, F.Sc./A-level grades and written test as per following:

Matric 15%
O-Level / A-Level 40% of O-Level equivalence from Inter Board Chairman Committee (IBCC)

 

Test Centres:

Test shall be conducted in major cities of Pakistan as mentioned on the application forms. The test will be MCQs based on English Comprehension, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Sample paper is available at PIEAS website.
