UET Lahore 2nd (Second) Merit List 2011

UET Lahore will announce the 2nd Merit list of Undergraduate admitted candidates on 9th October 2011. The 2nd Merit List of UET  also contain the merit of the students who applied in the other campuses of UET i.e UET Faisalabad Campus, UET Rachna Campus, UET Kalashah Kaku  Campus. The candidates whose names were not appeared in 1st Merit List of UET Lahore should their merit in the  2nd Merit list. The First Merit List of UET was displayed on 30th September 2011. The students whose names appeared in the 2nd Merit List of UET Lahore should deposit their dues to reserve their seat in UET Lahore.

Second Merit List of  BBA Fall-2011 has been uploaded.

Last date of depositing dues is 12th October 2011 (2:00 pm)

Guidelines For Preparation Of 2^nd Merit List

2. We have prepared the 2^nd merit list according to the following guidelines.

   1. Applicants, who confirmed their departments (froze their preference), have not been included in preparation of
      the 2^nd merit list. Their selection in 1^st merit list stands confirmed.

   2. Names of applicants, who were selected in the department of their first preference,
      but did not report to the university, have been removed from the list of applicants being considered in the 2^nd merit list.

   3. Applicants, who did not confirm (freeze) their department choice because they were admitted in their lower preference
      and aspired to move up the merit table, whether they reported (paid fees and deposited their documents) or
      not, have been included in 2^nd merit list preparation.

3. 2^nd merit list shows provisional admission status of students as per the above guidelines.

4. There may be cases where applicants have moved down their preference list.
   This is due to improvement in ranking of applicants whose FSc marks have been revised upward by BISE.

Reporting Of Applicants To Students Section (AdmissionOffice) After 2^nd Merit List

5. Case I: If the applicant has already reported to the Students Section (ADMISSION OFFICE)
   after 1^st Merit List, then he/she is NOT required to report to the Students Section again.
   He/she must, however, COMPULSORILY REPORT AND REGISTER WITH THE NEW DEPARTMENT
   even if they have joined the first department and have been issued registration numbers.
   He/she is required to do so because the previous registration has automatically been cancelled after declaration of the 2^nd Merit List.
   Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of their admission altogether because their names have been removed
   from the list of selected candidates of the 1^st merit list department and have instead been placed in the 2^nd merit list department
   .

6. Case II: Applicants who HAVE NOT REPORTED to the Students Section (ADMISSION OFFICE) for submission of
   documents, must do so immediately after payment of dues. They are directed to report to their 2^nd Merit List department for
   registration subsequently.
   Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of their admission altogether because their names have been removed from the list
   of selected candidates of the 1^st merit list department and have instead been placed in the 2^nd merit list department.

7. APPLICANTS WHOSE DEPARTMENTS HAVE NOT CHANGED IN THE 2^ND MERIT LIST ARE NOT REQUIRED TO REPORT.

8. Applicants may opt to confirm (freeze) their new department preference as done previously. If they do not do so, they will automatically be considered in the 3^rd merit list.

Last Date for Submission of Dues and Documents

9. All provisionally admitted applicants who have not reported yet are requested to deposit their fees
   and documents by 12^th October 2011 (2:00 pm). Provisional admission of applicants not doing so would be cancelled.
   Their names would be removed from the list of applicants who will be considered in the 3^rd merit list.

10. We expect to display, Insha Allah, the 3^rd merit list on 13^th October 2011.

Preference Change Requests

11. Until now, no preference change request has been entertained. Due to large number of such requests,
    it has been decided that on-line preference change would be opened to applicants who desire to down grade
    their provisional admission to a department having lower merit than their own. 4^th merit list of such applicants would be prepared after the 3^rd merit list.

Note of Advice to Applicants Desirous of Changing Campus

12. A note of advice to applicants. Engineering discipline is more important and not the campus.
    Down grading to a department of lesser merit may appear attractive now due to location of campus,
    but in the long run, this might turn out be the worst decision of their life time.
