NUST New Entry Test Date for BE/BS Mathematics/BCS 2011

New date for the NUST Entry Test 2011 of BE/BS Maths/BCS is announced. The entry test for BE/BS Mathematics/BCS was to be conducted on 17th July 2011 but it was cancelled due to some reasons. The new date for NUST Entry test will be announced in 2 to 3 weeks after the cancellation of test. So stay with us and keep visiting we will update you about the new entry test date 2011 of NUST. NUST ENTRANCE TEST ENGG PROGRAMMES – 2011

In order to facilitate those candidates who are appearing in National Aptitude Test (NAT-2011) on 21 August 2011, authorities at NUST have decided to reschedule their undergraduate NUST Entrance Test of Engineering programmes from 21 August 2011 (Sunday) to 20 August 2011 (Saturday).

All those candidates who appeared in NUST Entrance Test – 2011 on 17 July 2011 (Sunday) are directed to present / report themselves at their previous designated / allotted examination venues / centres at 0800 hrs on 20 Aug 2011(Saturday) for re-appearing in the test accordingly. Candidates are requested to download new admit cards by login at NUST.

NUST will announce the result of entry test 2011 within the 30 days after commencement of Entry Test. The Entry test of different categories held on the following dates

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

NUST UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL AND APPLIED BIOSCIENCES PROGRAMMES
SESSION – 2011

First stage of testing for Medical/Applied Biosciences (Virology & Immunology) candidates has been completed by undertaking the entrance exam on 16 July 2011. Its merit is going to be determined after obtaining the total marks obtained by candidates in FSc/Equivalent final examination. Candidates who appeared in NUST Entrance Test for Medical/Applied Biosciences Programmes on 16 July 2011 are therefore, advised to fill/upload their total FSc/Equivalent examination marks immediately on announcement of the same by their respective Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education / Equivalent agency by login at NUST which would facilitate them to carry out necessary filling of their marks on the “Academic Details” section on the online application forms.

Second stage of testing by test/interview will be notified to top merited candidates in due course.

All undergraduate Medical/Applied Biosciences candidates are once again advised to ensure submission/filling of their final FSc/equivalent examination marks on their online application as per above guidance to avoid being at a disadvantage.

NUST Scholarships and Financial Aid:

Merit Based Financial Assistance

NUST gives financial assistance to students on performance basis as mentioned below:

Engineering and Computer Science / Business Studies / Social & Natural Sciences/Applied Biosciences and Architecture
- Top 20% merit position holders in NUST Entrance test with respect to total seats in various disciplines will be awarded full waiver of tution fee for the 1st semester
Medical Sciences
- Top 20% merit position holders in NUST Entrance Test with respect to total seats in MBBS and BDS programmes will be awarded full waiver of tuition fee for 1st academic year.
For continuation of the financial assistance in the range of 15 to 75% of the tuition fee, the student has to maintain CGPA of 3.5 or more (65% or more marks in case of medical).

Need-based Scholarship/Fee Waiver

NUST has launched a need-based scholarship scheme to enable financially under-privileged but talented students to acquire higher education. Salient features of the scheme are:

Sufficient number of scholarships/fee waivers will be awarded to the needy students of the new batch every year.
The scholarship will be for full duration of the programme in which the student is enrolled.

Deferred Payments (Qarz-e-Hasna)

Financially under-privileged students, who cannot pay their fees and also do not qualify for merit-based scholarship are allowed deferred payment, on case-tocase basis on completion of 1st semester of their studies.

Other Opportunities for Financial Assistance

Some philanthropic organisations provide scholarships to the orphans and disabled studying at NUST. Such students will be informed on how to apply once they are selected.
Students may also apply on their own for other scholarships such as those offered by:
- Infaq Foundation
- Higher Education Commission (HEC)
- Quaid-i-Azam Scholarship by Ministry of Education
- Shell Pakistan, etc
