Balochistan students’ quota doubled  | Balochistan students , The latest news about the Balochistan students’ quota doubled and Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that students of Balochistan studying in Punjab will play a role of a bridge not only to remove misunderstandings between the two provinces but also enhance mutual love and understanding.

He said that the students of Balochistan studying in various institutions of Punjab were ambassadors of Punjab and Pakistan and should take with them the message of peace and love and inform the people and students of Balochistan about the love and affection they received from Punjab.

The chief minister also announced doubling the quota of students of Balochistan studying in various educational institutions of Punjab from the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund and Cheema Long Scheme.

He was addressing a function held in the honour of students of Balochistan studying in various educational institutions of Punjab. Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani, Punjab Senior Advisor Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, provincial ministers of Balochistan and Punjab, leaders of Balochistan PML-N Sardar Yaqub Khan Nasir, Nawabzada Changez Mari, MPAs, MNAs, intellectuals, columnists, teachers and a large number of students attended the function.

Addressing the function, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that he was thankful to the Balochistan Chief Minister who came to Lahore for this function and it was a pleasant to see that this function was being held in the same hall where four provinces had agreed upon the NFC Award a few months ago and the Lahore and Punjab had the honour of achieving unanimity on this historic award. He said that Balochistan was a big province and its resources were limited.

Raisani, Shahbaz meet: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Wednesday and discussed matters of mutual interest.

Later, the Punjab chief minister hosted a lunch in the honour of Balochistan chief minister. Senior Adviser Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira and ministers from Balochistan were also present.

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif welcomed Raisani at Allama Iqbal International Airport on his arrival in Lahore. tributes to Shahbaz: At a function held at Chief Minister’s Secretariat here, the students of Balochistan studying in various institutions of Punjab paid rich tributes to Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on the steps taken for promotion of education, national unity and harmony among the provinces.

Abida Kakar, a female student and position holder in FSc, declared Shahbaz Sharif Sir Syed of Punjab for his revolutionary steps taken for promotion of education and improvement of education sector. She said the Punjab chief minister had provided opportunities of higher education to the students of Punjab as well as other provinces, including Balochistan and their visit to 27 prestigious educational institutions of five European countries was proof of this fact. She said the chief minister wanted to spread love between the provinces through education.

Sehrish Kalandarani terming the establishment of Punjab Educational Endowment Fund a revolutionary step of the Punjab chief minister said that such students of the country were benefiting from it who had not even thought of getting education in prestigious institutions. He said that the steps of the Punjab chief minister would usher in a new era and male and female students would utilise all their energies for the development and prosperity of the country.

The students also pledged on this occasion that they would keep the flag of Pakistan high. They said that they would benefit from the facilities being provided to them for getting education and repay the debt of the nation.
