NUST Entry Test 2013, Dates and Registration

From this year 2013 NUST has revised the policies for the NET (NUST Entrance Test). In previous years the candidate can appear in the NUST entrance test once a year only, but this year a candidate can appear in NUST Computer based entry test 2013 more than once and can apply for the admission on the basis of its best entrance test score. In this way students can improve their score and have much better chance of Admission in NUST.

The new system of UG admissions at NUST is being implemented in the year 2013. The salient features of the new system are given below:
- The process of entrance test is delinked from admission process.
- During an admission cycle, candidates can appear in entrance test more than once to improve their score, and apply for admission separately on the basis of best score when applications are invited tentatively in May-June.
- Computer based entrance tests for all disciplines will be held in multiple sessions at NUST Campus Islamabad according to the following schedule:
- First Session (NET 1) – April-May
- Second Session (NET 2) – June-July
- Paper based entrance test will be conducted in Karachi and Quetta only once in July.
- For June-July session, candidates will have an option either to appear in Paper Based Test at Karachi and Quetta or Computer Based Test at Islamabad.
- For computer-based NET, candidates can choose the date and session of test depending on availability of space.
- Candidates who have cleared FSc (Part-I) or O level exam with minimum 60 % marks (or equivalent) are eligible to apply. For detailed criteria for eligibility please visit Undergraduate Admission section.
- General Awareness portion in the NET has been replaced with Intelligence test questions having same weighting. i.e. 5%
- Processing fee for entrance test and admission will be charged separately according to following structure:
- For NUST Enrance Test
- Entrance Test Fee (per exam): – Rs. 2000/- or USD 25/-
- Admission Processing Fee (per programme) – Rs.1000/- or USD 12/-
- For SAT Candidates
- SAT National – Rs.3000/- or USD 35/-
- SAT International – Rs.6000/- or USD 70/-
- The result of NET will remain valid for the current admission cycle only which will culminate in Fall 2013.

Will this online test can reserve a seat in MBBS section?
This is not an online test, you have to go to the test center and take the test. After that, you will apply for the admission on the basis of that entry test result. Then if you are on merit, you will be awarded admission.
Can you kindly tell me on which syllabus is this NET NUST based on? I live aboard but and did olevels and SAT. Should I go through the whole Inter syallabus before applying for this NET entry test?

It would be good for you to go through, as you have done O-level and A-Level, this won’t be any problem for you. You should also consult SAT books especially for English.
Is there any possiblity for international Pakistani students to get scholarship on their good results of SAT? or is the scholarship only for local Pakistanis?

Foreigners can only apply on the basis of SAT.
Will the April-may test be conducted in peshawar or is it only computer based in islamabad?
Only computer based test in Islamabad.
can i apply to NET1 without CNIC and FORM B.i hav non of both.plz inform me.
CNIC or B-Form is must, apply for CNIC or B-Form at your earliest. May be you get your CNIC or B-Form before the deadline, if not then try for NET 2.

i m doing improvement of my fsc marks and there is no option for it in application form,Secondly What about selections for mbbs programme.Is it finalised on over all basis including both Net 1 and Net 2 or on half each test basis ??
Fill the application form online. You have option to take either NET 1 or NET 2 or both. You selection will be on the basis of entry test result, which you will submit for admission (It can be NET 1 or NET 2, depending on your choice). Obviously you will submit the one with higher marks.
so when is will the entry test for mbbs be held ?? and cn u please tell me if we can give the test more than once ?? if yes, than registration for both the tests is done at the same time or not ?? please do reply
The entry test dates are given above. Separate Registration will be required for each test session.

No, Possession of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), Form B or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is mandatory for NET and Admission registration.
