NUST Entry Test 2013, Dates and Registration

From this year 2013 NUST has revised the policies for the NET (NUST Entrance Test). In previous years the candidate can appear in the NUST entrance test once a year only, but this year a candidate can appear in NUST Computer based entry test 2013 more than once and can apply for the admission on the basis of its best entrance test score. In this way students can improve their score and have much better chance of Admission in NUST.

The new system of UG admissions at NUST is being implemented in the year 2013. The salient features of the new system are given below:
- The process of entrance test is delinked from admission process.
- During an admission cycle, candidates can appear in entrance test more than once to improve their score, and apply for admission separately on the basis of best score when applications are invited tentatively in May-June.
- Computer based entrance tests for all disciplines will be held in multiple sessions at NUST Campus Islamabad according to the following schedule:
- First Session (NET 1) – April-May
- Second Session (NET 2) – June-July
- Paper based entrance test will be conducted in Karachi and Quetta only once in July.
- For June-July session, candidates will have an option either to appear in Paper Based Test at Karachi and Quetta or Computer Based Test at Islamabad.
- For computer-based NET, candidates can choose the date and session of test depending on availability of space.
- Candidates who have cleared FSc (Part-I) or O level exam with minimum 60 % marks (or equivalent) are eligible to apply. For detailed criteria for eligibility please visit Undergraduate Admission section.
- General Awareness portion in the NET has been replaced with Intelligence test questions having same weighting. i.e. 5%
- Processing fee for entrance test and admission will be charged separately according to following structure:
- For NUST Enrance Test
- Entrance Test Fee (per exam): – Rs. 2000/- or USD 25/-
- Admission Processing Fee (per programme) – Rs.1000/- or USD 12/-
- For SAT Candidates
- SAT National – Rs.3000/- or USD 35/-
- SAT International – Rs.6000/- or USD 70/-
- The result of NET will remain valid for the current admission cycle only which will culminate in Fall 2013.

Can you please specify what documents do we need to just register for NET 1?
Like o levels result certificate, equivalency, transcript etc…
CNIC or B-Form and educational documents including O-Level Equivalence certificate. More documents will be needed at the time of Admission. For NET just NIC or B-Form is required and to fill the registration form you have to know you O-Level equivalence marks, that’s why you will also need O-Level Equivalence certificate.
I’m international student,I have done O’levels and SAT1 and SAT2.Can you please tell me do I stand up to the requirements of NUST for MBBS?
The eligibility requirement for MBBS programme in NUST is that “Minimum of 60% marks in O Level and A level with three (3) subjects out of which Biology and Chemistry are essential subjects. Marital status: Unmarried”.
For MBBS and BDS: SAT Subject Test score in three subjects out of which, Chemistry and Biology E or M are essential (minimum 550 score in each subject)
The last date for SAT scores to reach NUST is July 15, 2013. Scores received after the deadline will not be entertained. The NUST institutional code to receive SAT scores is 2790.
Question: I am in my final year of A Level and my result will be announced in August 2013. Can I apply?
Answer: Yes, you can apply as in such case you will be evaluated on the basis of ‘O’ level equivalence marks but you have to provide equivalence certificate of ‘A’ level within 15 days of announcement of result.

sir i cancel my english paper for improvment so i can apply for test mean i am eligible or not??? still i have 66% marks in fsc part 1 without english paper.i also got 80% marks in matric …
Why do you have to cancel your paper just reappear in English exams with 2nd year exams to improve your result. Students who want to improve their result are also eligible given that they have not failed in any subject. Kindly do confirm by contacting the numbers given above.
