Eligibility Criterea:

  • HSC (Pre-Engineering) or Equivalent Foreign Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate Marks under Regular Scheme and Self Finance Scheme for all the above Programmes as mentioned above.
  • HSC (Pre-Medical) or Equivalent Foreign Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 60% aggregate Marks under Regular Scheme and Self Finance Scheme – Only for Bio Engg., Medical Engg and Food Engineering Disciplines.

Admissions Form and Prospectus

The Prospectus and Application Form for Admission to the abovementioned University Programmes (BE/ BCIT & BArch) under both Regular & Self Finance Schemes will be available from Monday 29th August, 2011 from the NED University Branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited during bank timings, against cash payment of Rs. 1700/= (including Bank Charges). Candidates interested in applying for more than One Category, have to submit Separate Application Form for Each Additional Category. Additional Form can be purchased @ Rs. 300/- Each.

Application Form duly filled-in, completed in all respects and supported by all requisite Documents shall be received only in the Admission Centre of the University. The Last Date for Submission of Application Form is 18th October, 2011.

Drop box Facility will also be made available where the Admission Form will be received and Admit Card issued (only to the candidate) next day.Applications received either by Post or Courier at any time or delivered in Person after Banking hours shall not be entertained.

Pre-Admission Entry Test:

  • All candidates seeking admission to this University under any Category of Admission are required to qualify the Pre-Admission Entry Test of this University which shall be of HSC level in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology, without any exception that is the First Basic Eligibility condition for Admission. Admissions shall be given strictly in order of Merit to be determined on the basis of Marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination.
  • Foreigners and Overseas Pakistani may take SAT Examination and Passed in 2010 in lieu of Pre-Admission Entry Test in SAT-I and SAT-II in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology. The minimum score acceptable by this University as qualifying shall be 800 and 1500 in SAT-I and SAT-II respectively.
  • The Pre-Admission Entry Test will be conducted at the NED University (Main Campus) on Saturday, the 22nd October 2011 at 10:00 am for which no Separate Notice shall be issued.
  • Candidates failing to appear/pass the Entry Test (or SAT-I and SAT-II Examination) will automatically stand ineligible for Admission. No Exceptions shall be Permissible.
  • Admit Card for Entry Test issued by the University must be produced by the Candidate at the time of entering University Premises for the Test.
  • Sample Paper for Entry Test and Guidelines for answering the same will be provided with Each Application Form for Admission.
  • The Entry Test is only qualifying examination to which no weightage is given – requirement only being getting at least 40% to be considered for admission.
  • For ensuring transparency after completion of the Test, Answer Key will be available at University website: www.neduet.edu.pk on 8th October, 2011 at 12:10 Hrs.
  • There is consequently no need for rechecking; each candidate can check his copy with the key. There is also no question of any grace marks.

Additional Marks For HAFIZ-E-QURAN:

For a Hafiz-e-Quran Candidate, 20 Marks are added in determination of Merit, subject to verification of the Authenticity of His/Her Claim by a Committee of the University whose decision shall be final. However, such candidate must apply in writing for additional Marks to the Registrar of the University along with Certified Copy of His/Her certificate (Sanad) before the Closing Date. The Hafiz-e-Quran Test will be conducted at the NED University (Main Campus) on 23rd October 2011 at 09:00 Hrs. for which no Separate Notice shall be issued.

NOTES:
i) The University shall NOT entertain any References made through either Verbal Communication or Telephonic Conversation.
ii) Candidates seeking admission in this University are advised in their own interest not to seek assistance from any political religious or ethnic groups setting up their booths outside the University.
iii) Whatever assistance or advice is needed can be obtained free of all obligations from the Help Desk set up in the Admission Block.
iv) The University shall not be responsible for any dealing pertaining to admission outside the Campus.

University of Gujrat (UOG) announced the admissions for the session 2011. The admissions campaign will start from 8th August 2011. The admission schedule has been announced for main Hafiz Hayat campus and the other four city campuses of UOG.   • For Registration of NTS: NTS-Test will be conducted on 21st August 2011.

Apply online for Intermediate Admissions 2011:

The Government of Punjab introduce the online admission system “Online College Applications System (OCAS)” recently for the intermediate admissions 2011. OCAS supports Intermediate applications (F.Sc, F.A, ICS etc) for academic year 2011-12 for students who want to apply on Open Merit Quota.  Students residing in Punjab except the Federal board can apply for the Admissions in the Colleges of Punjab province. The admissions are allowed for the students whose Matric result have announced and they passed their matriculation exams 2011. The selection in the colleges are on open merit bases. Students can apply in Multiple colleges and Multiple programs also. Students can select the College and Program in which they want admission. This Fee for this process is only Rs 25/- and can be paid in any branch of Bank of Punjab.

This system is really a great effort by the Government of Punjab and a great relief for Students. The benefits of this System are as follow:

  • Avoid hassle of long queues.
  • Easy access from home, college or any place where internet connectivity is available.
  • Quick and easy to use.
  • Can apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Applicant’s 2011 Matric results viewable to applicant through the system.
  • Pay application fee at any branch of the Bank of Punjab across Pakistan.
  • Monitor status of your application and check its progress.

Eligibility
  • Available for international students only, for undergraduate or postgraduate study.
  • Applicants must currently be or have previously been in the top 5% of their high school or university class.
  • Students will be selected for scholarships based on outstanding academic ability. In addition, demonstrated strong leadership skills and extensive involvement in extracurricular activities will also be considered.
  • Students whose first language is not English must refer to and meet Bond University’s standard. English entry requirements for undergraduate applicants.
  • English entry requirements for postgraduate applicants.

Successful applicants will be awarded these scholarships based on their ability to meet the eligibility criteria outlined

Application Submission

All international students who have made an application to study at Bond University (by the scholarship closing date for each semester) will be considered for an International Student Scholarship.
It is recommended that when students complete a Bond University Application Form, they submit a personal statement (outlining why you should be awarded a Bond scholarship), references, resume and certified copies of other relevant documentation to assist in supporting your application.

As part of the selection process, all shortlisted applicants will be required to participate in a telephone interview.

Selections for each intake of scholarship students are assessed based on academic merit. Should your submission not be successful at the time of application, your details will be reassessed for future semester intakes up until the point of acceptance.

Please note: Only short-lised applicants will be contacted for an interview. If you are not contacted for an interview by the dates stated in the general information above, then you can assume you have been unsuccessful in your application. Students will not be notified of their unsuccessful application in writing.

The International University of Healt & Welfare (IUHW) of Japan offers scholarships in the fields of health care and welfare service, to study at IUHW from the session beginning in April, 2012. The applications for the Scholarships are to be send through HEC (Higher Education Commission) Pakistan for Pakistani Students. More information about the IUHW scholarship is given below:

Introduction:

International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW), Japan has announced the Scholarship Program for Asian students, in the fields of health care and welfare service, to study at IUHW from the session beginning in April, 2012. The applications are to be routed / sent through Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. The details of the scholarship announced by IUHW are as under:

Undergraduate:

School of Health Science:

  • Departments of Nursing
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech and hearing Sciences
  • Orthoptics & Visual Sciences
  • Radiological Sciences.

School of Health and Welfare:

  • Department of Social Services and Healthcare Management.

Graduate:

  • Master’s Program in Health Sciences
  • Master’s Program in Health and Welfare, and Health Service Management.
  • Master’s Program in Clinical Psychology
  • Master’s Program in Health and Bio-pharmacy
  • Doctoral Program in Health Sciences

Length of Study:

Four years for undergraduate students, two years for graduate students in master’s Programs and three years for graduate students in Doctoral Program (starting from April 2012).

What scholarship covers:

Travelling expenses to and from Japan are not included in the coverage. The scholarship covers only the following:

  • Tuition and admission fees
  • Other expenses necessary for study i.e., textbooks, uniforms etc.
  • Free accommodations (apartments to be arranged by IUHW)
  • A living allowance

Eligibility:

I.            Applicants must be good citizens with fine character and willing to serve their own countries.

II.            Applicants must return to their own country and serve as leaders in the fields of health and welfare after completion of their studies at IUHW.

III.            Applicants must have at least 12-year school education (or equivalent) with good academic record to apply for undergraduate, 16-years or equivalent of education for Master’s Program and 18-years of education or equivalent for Doctorate (PhD) program.

IV.            Applicants must have Japanese language proficiency or equivalent with Japanese Proficiency test (the N2 level), in order to study at IUHW without difficulties.

V.            Applicants must be in good health.

Other Conditions:

  • Scholarship recipients are not allowed to do part-time jobs, while studying.
  • The recipients who will drop or will remain in the same class for another year, have to pay back the tuition fees and other expenses provided by IUHW.

  • Letter of recommendation. The letter of recommendation of the person related to the embassy is preferable.
  • A handwritten essay in JAPANESE Language within 800 Japanese letters and words on the topic of ‘Your Motive to apply for the IUHW Fellowships”
  • A certification of Health from government hospital or authorized medical practitioner.
  • Academic transcript / certificates/ Degrees of SSC, HSSC, Bachelors and Masters (as the case may be).
  • A certificate of the proficiency in Japanese (or a diploma issued by a Japanese language school)
