NTS has announced GAT Schedule 2013. Here given GAT General Test dates 2013. NTS GAT General Test is a GRE Type test, it help students to take admission in Masters Programs and MPhil Programs of different universities according to the requirement of University. GAT Test is also important for achieving HEC Scholarships.

View and print your online GAT General Roll numbers slip for the tests of 8th January, 8th April, 8th July and 7th October 2012. GAT roll number slip is required at the test center before the test and no candidate can entertain in the test without roll number slip. The roll number slips are issued by the NTS (National Testing Service) before the test and being sent to the candidate by post. But usually many students cannot get their roll number slip in time because of poor postal system or mistakes in the address given by the candidate. So the solution of the problem is to take a print of their roll number slip online.

To get your roll number slip online for GAT General tests of year 2012 follow the  given below step.

  1. You shall required your Name or CNIC number to enter for roll number slip.
  2. Enter your name or CNIC number in the window given below. Although you see that this windows says “List of Eligible Candidate” but don’t get confused, actually this will give you your roll number slip if you are eligible.
  3. If you could not find your roll number slip in the below window you are advised to check your name in Rejected candidate list, maybe due to some reasons you may got rejected.
  4. Take a print of the page that opens after submitting your name or CNIC
  5. Bring that print of your information along with CNIC and contact NTS Help Desk on test day. You will be issued provisional Roll No. Slip at the test center.
  6. If your Picture was missing with the GAT Registration Form, then you must paste a recent photograph on your Roll No. Slip and bring it with you to the Test Center. Otherwise you will not be allowed to sit in the test.

The online roll number slip will include the information including your Roll No, Name, Father Name, NIC #, Category, Field of Study, Reporting Time, Attendance Time and Test Center

NTS GAT General Test Guide

NTS (National Testing Service) is an officially body which conduct various aptitude test in Pakistan. NTS is an internationally recognized testing and assessment organization facilitating in producing educated and market competitive human resource. Among various tests GAT Test is one of them. GAT stands for General Aptitude Test. In this article we are letting people know about the GAT Test and providing them guide to prepare for their GAT Test. GAT Test is mainly subdivided into two types namely:

  • GAT General Test
  • GAT Subject Test

GAT General Test is mainly required for the admissions in Masters and M.Phil programs of different universities. The requirement of GAT General Test score vary as per Universities rule. Most universities requires GAT Test score while some universities take their own Entry tests for the admissions. Moreover GAT General Test is also required for various HEC Scholarship schemes. So it is important to know about the GAT General Test.

Eligibility for GAT General Test

A candidate appearing for GAT General Test must have minimum of 16 years of Education.

GAT General Test Paper Distribution

GAT General Test is divided into three categories (GAT A, GAT B, GAT C). Students who had studied Business Education or Engineering and Technology Falls in category GAT-A. Students who had studied Arts & Humanities and Social Science subjects falls in category GAT-B. Students who had studied the Agriculture & Veterinary Sciences, Biological & Medical Sciences and Physical Sciences subjects falls in category GAT-C.

GAT General Test of all categories contains 100 questions and 120 minutes time is given to complete the test. The difference between papers of these three categories is the difference in percentage composition of English, Quantitative and Analytical Reasoning questions.

 GAT General Test Day Tips

  1. Be on time.
  2. While filling the circles on the answer sheet properly fill the circles otherwise it may not be marked. Don’t fill more than one answers.
  3. Only use Black or Blue Ball Pen to fill/shade the circles.
  4. Every candidate is required to sign the attendance sheet, brought to her/him by the invigilators. The Roll No. Slips will also be collected by the same staff after the attendance is completed.
  5. The questions booklet will be taken back after the test is over so do not attempt to tear or remove any page from question booklet. No one is allowed to keep any part of it.
  6. Do not bring any other stationary item including rough/extra sheets as two blank sheets for rough work are placed inside the Question booklet.
  7. Do not bring calculators, mobile phones and wrist watches with calculator in the test center.

GAT Subject Schedule 2012, GAT Subject Test Dates 2012

GAT Subject test schedule for the year 2012 is given below. GAT Subject test is a GRE type test conducted by NTS for admissions in PhD programs. GAT Subject Test is required for the admissions in PhD as recommended by HEC, but these requirement will vary from Universities to Universities. So students should check the eligibility criteria of the University in which they are going to take admission. Moreover GAT Subject Test is also mandatory for some scholarship schemes of HEC.

The GAT Subject test result will remain valid for “TWO YEAR” for admissions and HEC Scholarship Schemes.

Candidates with a minimum of eighteen years of education are eligible to appear in the test.

  • Candidate intending to improve their previous GAT Score can also apply.
  • The candidates will have to qualify other specified criteria of the Universities / HEC Schemes.
