UET Lahore Entry Test 2012

UET Lahore announced the UET Lahore Entry Test date for admissions in UET Lahore undergraduate programs. UET Lahore Entry Test 2012 will held 0n 16th September 2012. UET Lahore offer admissions in Undergraduate programs on the basis of UET Lahore Entry Test 2012. This Entry Test of UET Lahore is also called UET combined Entry Test 2012 which is conducted for admissions in all Government Engineering Institutes of Punjab. Entry Test Application shall be filled online from 13-08-2012 to 01-09-2012.

Attachments with the Entry Test Form

  • Photocopy of CNIC or Computerized B-Form issued by NADRA.
  • Photocopy of Father’s CNIC.
  • Two Passport size photographs (one to be pasted on the Printed application).
  • Paid Challan Form Receipt No. 1.

Submission of Entry Test Form

  • Entry Test Form complete in all respect should be submitted during the working hours (Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM)
  • It is not essential for an applicant to appear in person for submission to Entry Test Form.
  • Incomplete Entry Test forms and forms sent through Post/Courier are not acceptable.
  • The Entry Test Fee of Rs. 350/- may be deposited on printed challan in any Online HBL Branch in Pakistan.

Requirement of Photo-ID at the Test Centre during Entry Test

Applicants are instructed to bring photo-ID like CNIC, SSC Certificate, Domicile etc. for presentation in the Entry Test centres during the Entry Test.

NOTE:

  • Applicants shall appear for the test in the Entry Test Centre where their applicaion has been submitted.
    Lahore Centre applicants will also be placed in Kala Shah Kaku Campus for Entry Test.
  • Applicants are advised to choose a Test Centre nearest to the District of Domicile and apply at their earliest.
    Seating capacity is limited in each Centre.
  • Applicants will have to choose an alternate test centre in case all seats in a centre of their choice have been filled.

The Entry test of UET Lahore is taken from the FSc Pre Engineering course of Punjab Textbook Board. FSc pre Engineering students have to apply to appear in UET Lahore Entry test 2012.

According to the official notice of UET Lahore the interested candidate must have the certain documents to apply for the UET Lahore Entry Test 2012 as well as UET Lahore Undergraduate Admission 2012.

  1. Domicile Certificate.
  2. Computerized National Identity Card or Computerized B-Form from NADRA.
  3. Certificate, Diploma, Degree or Detailed Marks Certificates of all the examinations on the basis of which admission is sought i.e. H.S.S.C., Diploma of Associate Engineer, B.Sc., B.Tech. (Pass).
  4. Six (6) passport size recent photographs.
  5. Applicants having equivalent foreign qualifications (e.g. A-levels) must obtain Equivalence Certificate from I.B.C.C. (Inter Board Committee of Chairmen).
  6. If you are applying against reserved seats for the Children of Overseas Pakistanis you are required to submit following additional documents:
    • An employment certificate in original (on Form-VIII) of applicant’s Parent (father/mother)in a foreign country issued by the Pakistani Embassy in that country. Form-VIII can be downloaded from our website or can be obtained from the office of the undersigned.
    • A photocopy of resident visa of applicant’s Parent (father/mother), attested by the Pakistani Embassy in that country.
    • Orphan candidates meeting eligibility requirements may be sponsored by their real brother, real maternal or real paternal uncle. Such candidates shall submit an attested photocopy of father’s death certificate along with Form-VIII and acceptable proof of relationship with the sponsor.
    • Note : Scanned / faxed copy of employment certificate and visa shall not be entertained.

UET Lahore Undergraduate Admissions 2012

UET Lahore has announces the Undergraduate Admissions 2012. The undergraduate admissions of UET Lahore will start in August. For Undergraduate Admissions 2012 students of Inter first have to appear in UET Combined Entry Test 2012 which will held on 16th September 2012 and then on the basis of UET Entry Test result 2012, the interested candidate will apply for UET Admissions 2012 in their desired departments. UET Lahore will then prepare the Merit lists of the candidates who have applied for the UET Lahore undergraduate admissions 2012. Then according to the available seats of each department and preference of the applied candidates, the top most candidates of each department equals to the seats available for that department will be selected.

2. The printout of filled application alongwith the documents as detailed in the prospectus shall be submitted in the Admission Cell (Administration Block), University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore on working days (Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, other days 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.). On the last day i.e. 4-10-2012, applications will be received up to 4:00 p.m.

3. Applications submitted via Post/Courier will NOT be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant for admission to any Bachelor degree of UET Lahore must meet following Eligibility criteria

  • He should have obtained at least 60% marks in F.Sc/ ICS/ DAE/ B.Sc/ B.Tech(Pass) Examination excluding Sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks.
  • He should have appeared in the entry test arranged by this University for that particular Acedmic Session in which he seeks admission.
  • He should have atleast 60% adjusted admission marks determined as per clause 2 of the merit determination criteria.

Merit Determination for UET Lahore

The merit determination for the UET Lahore Admission 2012 as per following rules

  • For applicant with H.S.C. (Pre Engineering) as the highest qualification:
    • i. H.S.S.C (Pre-Engg.) or equivalent including 70% Sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks
    • ii. Entry Test marks 30%
  • For applicants with B.Sc. or B.A. Sc. as the highest qualification:
    • i. B.Sc. or B.A. Sc including Sports and 70% Hafiz-e-Quran marks or H.S.S.C (Pre-Engg.) or equivalent including Sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks, in whichever a student has the highest %age
    • ii. Entry Test Marks 30%
  • For applicants having Diploma of Associate Engineer as the highest qualification (for fixed seats only)
    • i. Diploma of Associate Engineer including 70% Sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks
    • ii. Entry Test Marks 30%
  • For applicants having B.Tech. Pass as the highest qualification (for fixed seats only)

UET Lahore Last Year 2011 Merit

Here we are providing the last year 2011 merit percentage of Undergraduate admissions. The last year merit position 2011 of all the departments are given. Last year position of 2011 undergraduate admissions will help the students which will apply for UET Lahore Admissions 2012. UET Lahore will display the 4th Merit List of the admitted candidates on 19th October 2011. The  4th Merit List of UET Lahore has been announced. Students should check this page for the information about the 4th Merit List of UET. Those students whose names will appear in the 4th Merit List of UET Lahore will deposit their dues by the specified date. The last date for submitting dues will also be available on the day of displaying the fourth merit list.

The students whose names already appear in the previous merit list of UET Lahore will be upgraded in the 4th Merit List of UET Lahore if they have deposited their dues previously.

  • Only those candidates competed in the  4th Merit List who changed their preferences on-line after 3rd Merit List.
    Discipline of 113 candidates remained unchanged due to their merit position.
  • The students appearing in 4th Merit List are required to register themselves in new Department / Campus by Saturday 22-Oct-2011 (12:00 Noon).
  • Their registration in previous department has been cancelled with immediate effect.
  • The Next Merit List (5th Merit List) will only be for waiting students who could not get placed in first four Merit Lists.

UET (University of Engineering and Technology) Lahore will display the 3rd Merit List of Candidates who applied for the admissions 2011 on 13th October 2011. The third merit list is displayed now . The students whose names were not appear in the 1st and 2nd Merit List of UET Lahore should check their names in the 3rd Merit List of UET Lahore.

The 3rd Merit List of UET  also contain the merit of the students who applied in the other campuses of UET i.e UET Faisalabad Campus, UET Rachna Campus, UET Kalashah Kaku  Campus.

Notice for UET Lahore 3rd Merit List 2011

Kindly ensure the following steps to confirm your seat at UET campuses.

1.     New students must deposit their dues in the bank and their documents in Students Section
(Admission Office) by 15th October 2011 (12:00 noon).

2.     All students whether newly admitted or having been upgraded or down graded must
get registered in their respective department by Saturday 15th October 2011(2:00 pm).

3.     Names of students who have deposited their documents but have not registered in their respective
department would be removed from the provisional list of admitted students. The 4th list would be
displayed for registered students only.

4.      Registered students who have not confirmed their department would be given an opportunity to
fill in their new preferences on-line.

5.      Students opting for change of preference exercise may kindly note that their continued inclusion
in the 4th merit list is not guaranteed. Some students may even loose their seats in this process.
Remaining seats would be offered to waiting students.

The upgrading for the students who had deposited their dues also occur in this merit list if possible. The students whose names appear in the 3rd Merit List of UET Lahore should deposit their dues by15th October 2011. The last date of depositing will also available soon.

UET Lahore 2nd (Second) Merit List 2011

UET Lahore will announce the 2nd Merit list of Undergraduate admitted candidates on 9th October 2011. The 2nd Merit List of UET  also contain the merit of the students who applied in the other campuses of UET i.e UET Faisalabad Campus, UET Rachna Campus, UET Kalashah Kaku  Campus. The candidates whose names were not appeared in 1st Merit List of UET Lahore should their merit in the  2nd Merit list. The First Merit List of UET was displayed on 30th September 2011. The students whose names appeared in the 2nd Merit List of UET Lahore should deposit their dues to reserve their seat in UET Lahore.

Second Merit List of  BBA Fall-2011 has been uploaded.

Last date of depositing dues is 12th October 2011 (2:00 pm)

Guidelines For Preparation Of 2nd Merit List

  1. We have prepared the 2nd merit list according to the following guidelines.

    1. Applicants, who confirmed their departments (froze their preference), have not been included in preparation of
      the 2nd merit list. Their selection in 1st merit list stands confirmed.

    2. Names of applicants, who were selected in the department of their first preference,
      but did not report to the university, have been removed from the list of applicants being considered in the 2nd merit list.

    3. Applicants, who did not confirm (freeze) their department choice because they were admitted in their lower preference
      and aspired to move up the merit table, whether they reported (paid fees and deposited their documents) or
      not, have been included in 2nd merit list preparation.

  2. 2nd merit list shows provisional admission status of students as per the above guidelines.

  3. There may be cases where applicants have moved down their preference list.
    This is due to improvement in ranking of applicants whose FSc marks have been revised upward by BISE.

Reporting Of Applicants To Students Section (AdmissionOffice) After 2nd Merit List

  1. Case I: If the applicant has already reported to the Students Section (ADMISSION OFFICE)
    after 1st Merit List, then he/she is NOT required to report to the Students Section again.
    He/she must, however, COMPULSORILY REPORT AND REGISTER WITH THE NEW DEPARTMENT
    even if they have joined the first department and have been issued registration numbers.
    He/she is required to do so because the previous registration has automatically been cancelled after declaration of the 2nd Merit List.
    Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of their admission altogether because their names have been removed
    from the list of selected candidates of the 1    st merit list department and have instead been placed in the 2nd merit list department
    .

  1. Case II: Applicants who HAVE NOT REPORTED to the Students Section (ADMISSION OFFICE) for submission of
    documents, must do so immediately after payment of dues. They are directed to report to their 2nd Merit List department for
    registration subsequently.
    Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of their admission altogether because their names have been removed from the list
    of selected candidates of the 1    st merit list department and have instead been placed in the 2nd merit list department.

  1. APPLICANTS WHOSE DEPARTMENTS HAVE NOT CHANGED IN THE 2ND MERIT LIST ARE NOT REQUIRED TO REPORT.

  1. Applicants may opt to confirm (freeze) their new department preference as done previously. If they do not do so, they will automatically be considered in the 3rd merit list.

Last Date for Submission of Dues and Documents

  1. All provisionally admitted applicants who have not reported yet are requested to deposit their fees
    and documents by 12th October 2011 (2:00 pm). Provisional admission of applicants not doing so would be cancelled.
    Their names would be removed from the list of applicants who will be considered in the 3    rd merit list.

  1. We expect to display, Insha Allah, the 3rd merit list on 13th October 2011.

Preference Change Requests

  1. Until now, no preference change request has been entertained. Due to large number of such requests,
    it has been decided that on-line preference change would be opened to applicants who desire to down grade
    their provisional admission to a department having lower merit than their own. 4th merit list of such applicants would be prepared after the 3rd merit list.

Note of Advice to Applicants Desirous of Changing Campus

  1. A note of advice to applicants. Engineering discipline is more important and not the campus.
    Down grading to a department of lesser merit may appear attractive now due to location of campus,
    but in the long run, this might turn out be the worst decision of their life time.

UET Lahore 1st Merit List 2011

UET (University of Engineering and Technology) Lahore will display the 1st Merit List 2011 of the admitted candidates in the Undergraduate Programs of UET. This Merit List will also contains the Merit List for the Open Merit basis, Self Finance Basis and other categories etc. Also the students who applied in the other campuses of UET i.e UET Faisalabad Campus, UET Rachna Campus, UET Kalashah Kaku  Campus. The date of displaying of 1st Merit List is not yet announced. The Merit List will be announce on 30th September 2011.

Every effort has been made to ensure correctness of the list. If any discrepancy or error is noted, kindly inform us in writing.

THE LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF DUES AND DOCUMENTS IS WEDNESDAY 5-OCT-2011.

OTHER DATES, SUCH AS REGISTRATION, HOSTEL ALLOTMENT, SUBMISSION OF DUES FOR SUBSEQUENT MERIT LISTS SHALL REMAIN THE SAME AS ANNOUNCED IN THE PROPSECTUS.

Many “S” category students have yet to submit their original attested documents and Form-VIII. They are advised to do so as soon as possible and before 5-OCT-2011. Failure to do may result in cancellation of their admission.

Kinfly note that students who were unable to deposit IBCC Equivalence Certificate have not been included in the merit calculation. If they deposit the equivalence certificate by 5-Oct-2011, their applications would be considered while calculating the second merit list.
