Apply in HEC Commonwealth Scholarship 2019 in UK for Masters and PhD. Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom has announced the scholarships for the Master level programs in different fields given below. These scholarships are offered to the students of developing countries by the participating institutes and universities of the UK. The aim of this scholarship is to benefit the bright needy students from the postgraduate studies and participate in the development of their home countries. Awards made under this scheme are jointly funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), as part of the UK international development program to developing countries, and participating institutions in the UK. The scheme is administered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), whose secretariat is provided by The Association of Commonwealth Universities, Woburn House, 20-24 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9HF, UK. For 2020 62 universities have offered to support the scholarships by contributing the stipend for the students from their own resources, or those which the university has been able to generate from elsewhere.

Level of Study:

Awards are for taught Masters & Ph.D. courses only. No awards will be made for undergraduate or doctoral study.

Deadline:

The deadline is in the year 2019. Candidates should note that they should forward their nominations to the CSC no later than 30th September 2019.

Duration of Programme:

The duration of the scholarship program is one year for Master & three years for Ph.D. starting from fall 2020.

  1. To apply for HEC Commonwealth Scholarship 2020 in UK for Masters and PhD every applicant need to register online at https://eportal.hec.gov.pk/hec-portal-web/auth/login.jsf.
  2. At the HEC Web Portal you need to first create your account and then apply for the relevant programme.

Avancez Scholarships Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden: Chalmers University of Technology offering scholarships for the selected Master programs(2 years program) in Swedish Universities to all citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who are liable to pay tuition fees for Swedish university education. This scholarship can cover 75% or 85% of the tuition fee.

Description:
Chalmers University of Technology will award a number of scholarships funded by the Chalmers Foundation and these are available to all citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who are liable to pay tuition fees for Swedish university education. The exact number of scholarships is yet to be decided by the Chalmers Foundation.

Selection:
The selection is based on the applicants’ relative academic excellence, which primarily includes weighted average grade but also home university´s stature (including position on global ranking lists) and priority order of the application for Chalmers Master´s programmes.

Fields of Study:
The field(s) of study to which the scholarships will be awarded is determined annually by the University President. For the academic year 2012/13 the field of study is unrestricted, but it will be distributed according to targeted areas of education determined by the university management, based on the total number of applicants per each area of education from previous academic year.

Available To:

  • Citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who are required to pay tuition fees for Swedish University education.
  • 1st year Master’s Programme applicants

Amount:

  • A 75% reduction of the tuition fees (4 semesters / 2 year programme)
  • Students who excel during their first year of studies may receive an increased scholarship reduction, which covers 85% of the tuition fee during the second and final year of studies
  • No funds are transferred to the scholarship laureates

Admission Procedure

Upon fulfilling the required eligibility criteria for any course of your selection, you can obtain the admission form along with the prospectus from any of the below mentioned centers.

  • CECOS Data Institute, Saddar Road, Peshawar
  • Institute of Management & Information Systems, Phase-2, Hayatabad, Peshawar
  • College of Engineering & IT, Phase-6, Hayatabad, Peshawar

By following all the instructions given on the admission form and the prospectus you are required to fill in the form and attach all the required documents, which are to be submitted to the admission office of CECOS University before the last date of submission of forms.

You can submit the filled admission form at any of the three information centers mentioned above or by mail.

Upon the submission of the admission form you will be issued an entry test card for your entry at the admission test center. This card must be brought along at the time of the test otherwise you will not be allowed to give the test as per the schedule announced..

The successful candidates will be called for an interview / document verification followed by the course registration.

Eligibility Criteria

For Engineering Programmes
F.Sc Pre-Engineering or equivalent (60% or above marks)
Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in the relevant discipline (60% or above marks)
Appearance in Entry Test Conducted by ETEA

For Bachelors Programmes
Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate or equivalent

For B.Tech Programmes
Minimum 45% marks in DAE (in the relevant field) or equivalent

For Masters Programmes
Minimum 45% marks in Bachelor or equivalent (for Masters Programme)

Note: – Dates for the viva voce of the Dissertation OR Thesis will be communicated to the candidates directly by the Chairmen/Head of the Departments concerned.

 

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES

Candidates are directed to note the following instructions.

1.   Roll Number should be written on the right hand top corner of the title page of the Answer Book only and not at any other place.

2.   Answer Book Number should not be written inside the Answer Book.

3.   Marks of identification should not be made anywhere in the Answer Book or on the title page.

4.   Any material relevant to the Syllabus should not be taken while entering the Examination Hall.

5.   No appeal be made to the Examiner in the Answer-Book.

6.   Obscene language should not be used in the Answer Book.

7.   No one will be allowed to leave the Examination Hall before first one hour is over. If any one leaves after one hour or before half the time is over, he shall not be allowed to take away the Question Paper.

8.   Unauthorized change of Centre is strictly prohibited, if any one will change his/her Centre of Examination of his/her own, unfairmeans case will be registered against him/her. Similarly no change of Subject is allowed unless permitted by the University.

9.   No one should appear in the Examination without getting his/her Roll Number Slip.

10. The candidates are allowed to use scientific calculator only which should be without Mini-computer.

11. The candidates are not allowed to bring mobile telephone set in the Examination Hall.

12. Unfair means cases shall be registered against those who will violate the above or such other instructions as are issued.
