PIEAS Second Merit List 2011 | 2nd Merit List PIEAS Admissions 2011

PIEAS institute will announce the 2nd (second) Merit List for Undergraduate Admissions 2011 on 8th August 2011(Delayed). The merit list is announced on 10th August 2011 at 10:00 A.M. The students who are selected in the 1st Merit List announced by PIEAS have to deposit their dues to secure the admission up-till 5th August 2011.Students who does not deposit their dues their seat will be declared vacant and the admission will be offered to the next candidate in the 2nd Merit list or waiting list. Stay with us we will update you about the Merit List. On the day of Announcement we will update the same page.

All those candidates who have been offered admission must deposit their dues to secure the admission at the latest by August 19, 2011, failing which the seat will be declared vacant and the admission will be offered to the next candidate in the waiting list.
The merit is compiled with the result (O-Level/Matric/FSc-I) submitted by candidates at the time of application submission.
Any wrong information will be sufficient cause for cancellation of admission.
A formal letter of offer will be sent to you through courier service on August 11, 2011, which will include the fee details.
The third waiting list (if required) will be placed on the PIEAS website on August 22, 2011.

UET New Entry Test Date 2011 | UET Cancelled Entry Test (ECAT) New Date 2011

UET Entry test New Date:

New date for the UET Entry Test 2011 will be announced by the admission committee of UET. The new date of UET Entry test (ECAT) 2011 is expected as 11th September 2011. This date is officially announced but from some source of UET. This UET test date is for UET Lahore and UET Taxila also.

On the new date of uet entry test on 11th september test will be conducted on the basis of already submitted applications and allocated roll numbers.

The entry test which was conducted on 24th July 2011 was cancelled because the entry test question paper was leaked and VC ( Vice Chancellor) of UET Lahore declared that test as null and void. He immediately take action of the matter.

2. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The candidates who have already submitted their applications will appear in the test under previous Roll Numbers.
They will report on Sunday 11th September 2011 by 8:30 A.M. at the same centre for Entry Test where they appeared in the last test dated 24th July 2011.
There is no change in seating plan.
The copies of Admit Cards are being delivered through mail. The candidates must bring this copy of Admit Card alongwith them.
They must also carry an original identification document having a photograph, like CNIC or Domicile or Matric / 1st year Result Card or Driving License.
The candidates who were absent on 24th July, 2011 may report in their respective centres with their original Admit Cards on the test date.
Candidates who do not receive copy of Admit Card may visit the link for information on their Test Center and Roll Number.
The result of Combined Entry Test shall be declared on 18th September 2011 (Midnight) and available at web link https://admission.uet.edu.pk. However, the key for self-marking shall be uploaded on the website on the midnight of the test date.

New date for the NUST Entry Test 2011 of BE/BS Maths/BCS is announced. The entry test for BE/BS Mathematics/BCS was to be conducted on 17th July 2011 but it was cancelled due to some reasons. NUST ENTRANCE TEST ENGG PROGRAMMES – 2011

In order to facilitate those candidates who are appearing in National Aptitude Test (NAT-2011) on 21 August 2011, authorities at NUST have decided to reschedule their undergraduate NUST Entrance Test of Engineering programmes from 21 August 2011 (Sunday) to 20 August 2011 (Saturday).

All those candidates who appeared in NUST Entrance Test – 2011 on 17 July 2011 (Sunday) are directed to present / report themselves at their previous designated / allotted examination venues / centres at 0800 hrs on 20 Aug 2011(Saturday) for re-appearing in the test accordingly. Candidates are requested to download new admit cards by login at NUST.

Application Procedure:

Separate application forms are available for each category.

FATA candidates can apply on their reserved seats only.

Candidates applying against all other provincial quota seats are required to submit separate application forms available from the Directorate of Admissions, UET, Main Campus, Peshawar. Candidates who are Hafiz-e-Quran are required to appear before the Admission Committee for oral test in the Conference Hall, UET Main Campus, Peshawar, on 08th August, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. for which no separate call letters will be issued.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have appeared in the entrance test conducted by ETEA, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held on 10.07.2011.
Candidates must have passed Intermediate Pre-Engineering or equivalent examination, by obtaining at least sixty percent (60%) unadjusted marks with the following combination of subjects:-
- Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry (for all Engineering Programmes)
- Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science (for Computer System Engineering and Computer Software Engineering).
Candidates having three years post matric diploma (DAE) or B.Tech with at least sixty percent (60%) unadjusted marks are eligible to apply against their reserved seats in respective disciplines only. They are INELIGIBLE to apply against open merit seats.

Important Notes:

Undergraduate Prospectus and application forms are available at United Bank Ltd University campus branch, Peshawar and from the offices of the Coordinators of all satellite campuses i.e Mardan, Abbotabad and Bannu, on cash payment of Rs 1000/-. Application procedure for other Provinces/reserved quotas is given in the Undergraduate Prospectus. Application forms,complete in all respect , should reach the Directorate of Admissions, UET , Main Campus, Peshawar, on or before 5th August 2011 upto 4:00 p.m.

Please do not wait till the last date. Submit application forms as early as possible to avoid long queues.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

NUST UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL AND APPLIED BIOSCIENCES PROGRAMMES
SESSION – 2011

First stage of testing for Medical/Applied Biosciences (Virology & Immunology) candidates has been completed by undertaking the entrance exam on 16 July 2011. Its merit is going to be determined after obtaining the total marks obtained by candidates in FSc/Equivalent final examination. Candidates who appeared in NUST Entrance Test for Medical/Applied Biosciences Programmes on 16 July 2011 are therefore, advised to fill/upload their total FSc/Equivalent examination marks immediately on announcement of the same by their respective Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education / Equivalent agency by login at NUST which would facilitate them to carry out necessary filling of their marks on the “Academic Details” section on the online application forms.

Second stage of testing by test/interview will be notified to top merited candidates in due course.

All undergraduate Medical/Applied Biosciences candidates are once again advised to ensure submission/filling of their final FSc/equivalent examination marks on their online application as per above guidance to avoid being at a disadvantage.

National Textile University Admissions 2011 Notification

National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad announced the notification about the Undergraduate admissions 2011 and Graduate admissions 2011 . All of the students who want to apply in National Textile University Should read the admission Notice carefully. National textile University offer many Undergraduate and Graduate programmes. The pre admission notice is as follows:

PRE-ADMISSION NOTICE-2011

Admission Notice-2011 for Graduate/Undergraduate candidates will be announced through reputed dailies of Pakistan in the 4th week of July, 2011 (Tentatively). On opening of Admission, Prospectus along with admission form will be available for sale from the admission office in person. Postal requests will also be entertained for obtaining the Prospectus. Price of Prospectus will be notified in admission notice.

Prospective candidates are advised to prepare the following documents:

Certificates-Diplomas-Marks sheets etc. on the basis of admission is sought
Domicile Certificate (Only for B.Sc. Textile Engineering program)
6 passport size recent photographs
Applicants having equivalent foreign qualifications must obtain Equivalence certificate from I.B.C.C.

1. B.Sc. Textile Engineering (Spinning-Weaving-Knitting-Processing-Garment Manufacturing)

2. B.Sc. Polymer Engineering (45 Seats on Open Merit)

Eligibility:

F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering) or A-Level (Physics-Chemistry-Math) with at least 60% marks and NTS (NAT-IE) test. (DAE diploma holders are not eligible for these programs).

Merit Criteria:

10% Matric + 45% F.Sc. + 45 % NTS Marks. Minimum 60% aggregate score of this formula is compulsory to be eligible for engineering programs).

Undergraduate Non-engineering programs

University Offers following 4 undergraduate Non-engineering programs.

1. BS in Computer Science (45 Seats on Open Merit)

Eligibility:

F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering) or A-Level (Physics-Chemistry-Math) or equivalent with Math with at least 60% marks and NTS (NAT-ICS) test.

Merit Criteria:

10% Matric + 45% F.Sc. + 45 % NTS Marks.

2. Bachelor of Textile Design & Technology (45 Seats on Open Merit)
3. Bachelor of Fashion Design & Technology (45 Seats on Open Merit)

Eligibility:

F.A/F.Sc./ICS/I.Com or equivalent with at least 50% marks and NTS test (NAT-General). The candidate may select type of test (ICOM, IA, IGS) according to his/her intermediate subjects.

Merit Criteria:

10% Matric + 45% F.Sc. + 45% NTS Marks

Note:-

(Passing a separate University Drawing test is compulsory for Textile & Fashion Designing Programs). Date for drawing test will be announced in Admission Notice-2011).

4. BBA (Honors) (Marketing – Banking & Finance-HRM-Textile Management & Marketing (90 Seats on Open Merit)

Merit Criteria:

10% Matric + 70% F.Sc. + 20% NTS Marks

Eligibility:

F.A/F.Sc./ICS/I.Com or equivalent with at least 50% marks and NTS test (NAT). The candidate may select type of test (I-COM, IA, IGS) according to his/her inter subjects.

Information about NTS (NAT-IE) Tests for undergraduate programs:

All NTS tests which held in 2011 are valid for Admission. Candidates who could not appear in earlier tests, are advised to be registered with National Testing Service, Islamabad for test being held on August 21, 2011 (Sunday), for which registration will be started from July 18, 2011. Interested candidates may download NTS registration form from NTS website www.nts.org.pk and submit it directly to National Testing Service, Islamabad, latest by August 3, 2011.

Master Programs

Master in Business Administration (3 & Half Year degree program)
(45 Seats on Open Merit)

B.A/B.Sc. or Equivalent with minimum 50% marks and GAT (General) test with minimum 50 Score.

Merit Criteria:

10% Inter + 70% Graduation + 20% NTS GAT (General) Marks

M.Sc. Textile Engineering

The eligibility criteria for admission to M.Sc. Textile Engineering program is as under:

1. 16 years of schooling including 4 years engineering education in the relevant field form the HEC recognized institution.

2. Minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.00, 3.50 out of 5.00 or 1st division in the bachelor degree.

3. Only one 2nd division and no 3rd division is allowed in F.Sc. (Pre-engineering) and SSC or equivalent.

4. Minimum 50 score in NTS GAT-General (Category-A) Test.
