Khyber Medical College Merit List 2012

The merit list will be displayed after the conclusion of the admission procedure. The provisional merit list will be displayed on 20th September 2012. Students are advised to check this merit list for any error. Submission of Claims and objection regarding the provisional merit list must be reported on 21st September 2012 and 22nd September 2012. After that the final merit list will be available on 25th September 2012.

Merit Calculation

The final aggregate is prpared according to the following weightage

  • SSC or Equivalent qualification = 10%
  • Adjusted HSc. marks or equivalent level marks= 40%
  • Entrance Test Marks = 50%

EXAMPLE:
A candidate has obtained marks:

i.     SSC or Equivalent qualification 650/850 or 76.5%

ii.    Adjusted HSc. marks or equivalent level marks   870/1100 or 79.1%

iii.     Entrance Test Marks  460/800 or 57.5 % His/ Her merit will be calculated as follows:

Factor Marks

(a) Weightage for SSC     =    76.5 x 0.1     =    7.65

(b) Weight age for F.Sc     =    79.1 x 0.4     =    31.64

(c) Weight age for Entrance Test     =    57.5 x 0.5     =    28.75

Merit score of the candidate    =     a+b+c = 7.65+31.64+28.75    =     68.04

Final calculation in percentage will be rounded up to two decimal points.

 Merit Scholarship & Financial Assistance

Merit Scholarship and Financial Assistance is also being offered to the students on the Merit basis.

The following merit scholarships are available:

  • 100% tuition fee waiver for Top position holders in the Matriculation exams in any board in Pakistan.
  • 75% tuition fee waiver for students obtaining 85% marks in their Matriculation.

1.   Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis, ie the first students who qualify with the criteria above AND take roll numbers.

2.    To continue to receive this scholarship, all beneficiaries must meet the following requirements throughout their period of study at FCC:

  • Minimum 75% attendance
  • 85% average on monthly tests

3.    There are 37 scholarships available. The breakdown is:

  • FSc: 30
  • FA: 7

The committee retains the power to adjust fewer in FSc and more in FA if they deem this is a more just distribution in a given year.

4.    Students obtaining 75% fee waiver can also apply for need-based financial aid.

UET Peshawar offers admissions 2012 on the basis of UET Peshawar Entry test 2012. The date of Entry test of UET Peshawar is 8-7-2012. Usually the Entry test of UET Peshawar for the undergraduate admissions held in the month of July. The Entrance Test 2012 will be conducted by the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA),  Government  of  Khyber   Pakhtunkhwa.

This Entrance test of UET Peshawar is also for applying in all the Government and Private Engineering Universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Applications are invited for  Entrance Test for admission to B.Sc engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science & Bachelor of Architecture programmes of the University of  Engineering & Technology, Peshawar. The Entrance Test will be conducted by the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Candidates having domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or FATA, seeking  admission in Engineering Programmes of UET Peshawar and its allied campuses (Mardan,  Bannu,  Abbottabd  and  Kohat)  on  OPEN  MERIT  /    RESERVED  QUOTAS  /     NON- SUBSIDISED SCHEME  OR  RECIPROCAL BASIS must appear in the Entrance Test. Candidates seeking admission in Computer Science and Architecture may also apply for Entrance Test of ETEA.

Application forms for the Entrance Test are available at any of the designated branches of Habib Bank Ltd. listed below, and from the offices of the Co-ordinators, Abbottabad, Mardan and Bannu Campuses of the University, on cash payment of Rs.1750/- (non-refundable).  No Admit Card will be mailed to any candidate. The form along with Bank Challan can also be downloaded, however, application fee of Rs. 1750/- will need to be  deposited  at any designated branches of HBL:

The Entrance Test will be held at Peshawar and Abbottabad  simultaneously. Applicants
who have appeared in various Boards (BISE’s) will be allocated test centers as follows:

2.  Other Boards of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:    Peshawar Centre Sher Khan Shaheed (Army) Stadium

Eligibility for Entry test:

The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:

1. Candidates who have passed Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) examination from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Pakistan, or an equivalent examination overseas, and have obtained at least 60% un-adjusted marks, with combination of subjects listed at serial No.3 below.

2. Candidates who have appeared in Intermediate Part-II (Pre-Engineering) examination and are awaiting their results. However, they must submit their results before the last date of submission of application form for admission.

3. Candidates with Intermediate Exam: certificates must have the following combination of subjects:

  • For all Engineering & Non-Engg. Programmes : Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • For  Computer  Systems  Engg,  Computer  Software  Engg  and  Computer  Science:  Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science.

4. Candidates who have passed three-years post-matric Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) or B-Tech exam and have obtained at least 60% unadjusted marks. These candidates are eligible for admission against their reserved seats in respective disciplines only (not for open merit seats).

Admission Application for Regular Candidates
The procedure for admission is as follows:
1. The Admission Application Form can be filled online by following the instructions. 
2. The online system assigns a unique Application Reference Number (ARN) to each applicant, which must be noted for later use.
The applicant should then visit the campus, where the admission test is to be taken, along with the following:
a. Two recently taken (3 cm x 2 cm) colour photographs
b. Copy of CNIC or Form-B issued by NADRA (National Database Registration Authority).
c. Application processing fee of Rs 1,000. This fee includes admission test fee for taking one test.
Additional Fee of Rs 500 is payable for each type of Admission Test. For example, for taking both the BBA and the BS tests, or for taking both the MS (CS) and MS (SPM) tests.
d. Required Educational Documents:
For Undergraduate Admission:
i) Original and copy of Matric/O-level Certificate.
ii) Original and copy of Intermediate/A-level Certificate or Roll Number Slip.
For Graduate Admission:
i) Original and copy of all educational Ceritificates/Degrees.
3. The applicant will be required to sign a declaration confirming that the information provided in the Application Form by him/her is correct.
4. Upon payment of the Application Processing and Admission Test Fee(s), the applicant shall receive a duly signed ADMIT CARD bearing the applicant’s TEST ROLL NUMBER and a copy of the Prospectus.
