Eligibility Criteria

All Admissions are only on Merit basis

  1. Minimum 45% Total Marks or 2.2 CGPA in the Last Degree in any Discipline from any University recognized by the HEC
  2. Four Years Working Experience after acquiring 16 Years Education (BS or Master’s in any Discipline)
  3. Five Years Working Experience after acquiring 14 Years Education (B.Com., BA, BBA (Honors), ACS (Honors) etc)
  4. Professional Degree Holder (BE. MBBS, LLB CPA. CA. ACCA etc) can also apply 6 Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Entrance Test is 50%

Selection Criteria

Lahore School of Economics has announced the LSE Undergraduate admissions 2013 and LSE Graduate Admissions 2013. Details about the Application form, Registration, Interviews, Academic Programs, Fee structure, Merit lists and Scholarship of LSE is given here. Every year many candidate apply for admissions in LSE undergraduate and graduate programs. LSE is one of the excellent private institute offering the studies of Economics and Business studies.

Admissions in LSE are on the basis of Entrance test and Interview. More details about the Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions 2013 of LSE is given below.

Undergraduate Admissions

Entrance Requirements: Admission into the Lahore School’s Bachelors Programmes is regulated through an entrance examination and interview process. Entrance requirements for the Bachelors Programmes are: (i) Matric with at least 735 marks and FA/FSc with at least 660 marks (ii) American High School Diploma with at least 80% marks (iii) International Baccalaureate with at least 30 or above points out of 45 (iv) GCE ‘O’ Level passes in 6 subjects with minimum 3 B’s and A Level with an average of C in 3 principal subjects. No credit in A Level will be given for any Advanced Subsidiary or General Paper or any other half credit course. Candidates awaiting final result can also apply subject to the condition that they submit their A Level / FA / FSc and High School result soon after their declaration in August.

Students who do not meet the initial admissions criteria (i.e. 735 marks in matric or 3Bs in O-Level) and expect to meet the final criteria (i..e. 660 marks in intermediate or average of C in 3 principal subjects in A-level) are also required to fill the online form. A special entrance examination and interview process will be held for these candidates after the declaration of A-Level/intermediate results.

Application forms: Available from 1st January till July 3rd 2013.

Deadline for application submission: Wednesday, 3rd July 2013.

Entry tests: will be held at Burki Campus on Sunday, 7th July 2013.

Interviews: Monday, 22nd July to Friday, 26th July 2013 at the City Campus.

Graduate Admissions

The Lahore School of Economics admits students into its Graduate Programmes once a year in September. A four year B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA (Hons) degree with a CGPA of 3.0 /1st Division is a necessary pre-requisite for regular admission into the Graduate Programmes. However, students who have appeared for their final Undergraduate examinations are also eligible to apply for the Graduate programmes. Candidates who have appeared privately in B.A/ B.Sc/B.Com/BBA (Hons) are not eligible to apply. All students, regardless of degrees and academic backgrounds will be required to take the Lahore School entrance exam. Successful candidates would have to submit copies of their B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA (Hons) result along with original certificates to the admissions office for verification in order to get an unconditional offer letter after declaration of their results. Admission forms may be obtained from the Lahore School of Economics City Campus.

Application forms: Available from January 2013.

Deadline for application submission: Wednesday, 10th July 2013.

Entry tests will be held at Burki Campus on Saturday, 13th July 2013.

Applications downloaded from the Lahore School’s web-site require both an application form fee of Rs. 1500/- and an application processing fee of Rs. 1,500/- to be attached to the application form. The payment is to be made in form of a Bank Draft in favor of the Lahore School of Economics.  All other completed application forms require application processing fee of Rs. 1,500/- in the form of a Bank Draft in favor of the Lahore School of Economics. Pre-Admission Test

1. All eligible candidates shall be required to appear in the Pre-Admission Test at Public School, Latifabad No.3 Hyderabad on Sunday the 14th October, 2012 at 10.00 am. The Test will be conducted in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English from the candidates of HSC Pre-Engineering Group and Diploma Holders and in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Computer and English from the candidates of General Science Group. The candidates failing to appear in the Test will automatically stand disqualified for admission.

2. Admit Slip for Pre-Admission Test will be sent under Courier service. The admit Slip (original) issued by the University should be produced by the candidate at the time of the test.

3. If any candidate do not receive his/her Admit Slip he/she may contact for the same to the undersigned from 10-10-2012 to 13-10-2012 during office hours.

4. The candidates will be required to report at the Examination Centre for Test atleast one  hour before the start of the pre-admission test.

Attachments with the Entry Test Form

  • Photocopy of CNIC or Computerized B-Form issued by NADRA.

Submission of Entry Test Form

  • The Entry Test Application shall be filled online through the web link from 13-08-2012 onwards. Applicants must ensure that the entered data is correct before taking a printout of the online filled application alongwith copies of bank challan.
  • Printed application alongwith prescribed attachments shall be submitted at one of the below given centers to obtain the Admit Card.
  • In case of unavailability of computer facilities, applicants may use this facility in the designated computer laboratories at the above centers from 13-08-2012 to 01-09-2012 excluding Eid vacations.
  • The Entry Test Fee of Rs. 350/- may be deposited in any online HBL Branch in Pakistan.
  • Note: Candidates of GUJRAT test center are requested to report to HAFIZ HAYAT campus for submission of Entry Test form.

Eligibility

The Entry Test for B.Sc Engineering would be of F.Sc./ Intermediate level and will be offered in the following combinations:
(a) Physics, Mathematics, English & Chemistry; (b) Physics, Mathematics, English & Computer Science; and (c) Physics,
Mathematics, English & Statistics. Applicants who have passed or have appeared in F.Sc/ Intermediate, B.Sc., DAE, B.Tech
(Pass), or any Equivalent Examination may apply and choose the relevant combination.

Requirement of Photo-ID at the Test Centre during Entry Test

Applicants are instructed to bring photo-ID like CNIC, SSC Certificate, Domicile etc. for presentation in the Entry Test centres during the Entry Test.

The admission in KMC is organized by joint Admission system of Khyber Pakhtunkwa. Students who want to admission in MBBS and BDS programs of Khyber medical college have to apply for the combine admission procedure which is initiated to admit the students in all the Public sector medical colleges of KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkwa).

The Admission form 2012 and Prospectus 2012 will be available from 27-08-2012 to 07-09-2012. The admissions process is combined for all the public sector medical institutes of KPK. Last date of form submission is 7th September 2012. For more details follow the link below.

Khyber Medical College Merit List 2012

The merit list will be displayed after the conclusion of the admission procedure. The provisional merit list will be displayed on 20th September 2012. Students are advised to check this merit list for any error. Submission of Claims and objection regarding the provisional merit list must be reported on 21st September 2012 and 22nd September 2012. After that the final merit list will be available on 25th September 2012.

Merit Calculation

The final aggregate is prpared according to the following weightage

  • SSC or Equivalent qualification = 10%
  • Adjusted HSc. marks or equivalent level marks= 40%
  • Entrance Test Marks = 50%

EXAMPLE:
A candidate has obtained marks:

i.     SSC or Equivalent qualification 650/850 or 76.5%

ii.    Adjusted HSc. marks or equivalent level marks   870/1100 or 79.1%

iii.     Entrance Test Marks  460/800 or 57.5 % His/ Her merit will be calculated as follows:
%age mark Weightage     =     Weightage

Factor Marks

(a) Weightage for SSC     =    76.5 x 0.1     =    7.65

(b) Weight age for F.Sc     =    79.1 x 0.4     =    31.64

(c) Weight age for Entrance Test     =    57.5 x 0.5     =    28.75

Merit score of the candidate    =     a+b+c = 7.65+31.64+28.75    =     68.04

Final calculation in percentage will be rounded up to two decimal points.

 

There are approximately 280 seats in KMC for the MBBS program. These seats are further divided in open merit and reserved quota seats. The details about these distribution of seats will be mentioned in the combine prospectus 2012 of KPK Medical colleges admissions 2012.
