UET Peshawar offers admissions 2012 on the basis of UET Peshawar Entry test 2012. The date of Entry test of UET Peshawar is 8-7-2012. Usually the Entry test of UET Peshawar for the undergraduate admissions held in the month of July. The Entrance Test 2012 will be conducted by the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA),  Government  of  Khyber   Pakhtunkhwa.

This Entrance test of UET Peshawar is also for applying in all the Government and Private Engineering Universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. So if any candidate who want to apply for admission in any other Government Engineering institute of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa he or she will have to appear in this entrance test conducted by ETEA.

The Entrance test for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes of the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Peshawar, Associated engineering colleges and private engineering universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be held on 8th July 2012 in Peshawar and Abbottabad, simultaneously.

Application Forms

Applications are invited for  Entrance Test for admission to B.Sc engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science & Bachelor of Architecture programmes of the University of  Engineering & Technology, Peshawar. The Entrance Test will be conducted by the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Candidates having domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or FATA, seeking  admission in Engineering Programmes of UET Peshawar and its allied campuses (Mardan,  Bannu,  Abbottabd  and  Kohat)  on  OPEN  MERIT  /    RESERVED  QUOTAS  /     NON- SUBSIDISED SCHEME  OR  RECIPROCAL BASIS must appear in the Entrance Test. Candidates seeking admission in Computer Science and Architecture may also apply for Entrance Test of ETEA.

Application forms for the Entrance Test are available at any of the designated branches of Habib Bank Ltd. listed below, and from the offices of the Co-ordinators, Abbottabad, Mardan and Bannu Campuses of the University, on cash payment of Rs.1750/- (non-refundable).  No Admit Card will be mailed to any candidate. The form along with Bank Challan can also be downloaded, however, application fee of Rs. 1750/- will need to be  deposited  at any designated branches of HBL:

Test Venue

The Entrance Test will be held at Peshawar and Abbottabad  simultaneously. Applicants
who have appeared in various Boards (BISE’s) will be allocated test centers as follows:

1.  Abbottabad Board    :    Abbottabad Centre ( Ayub Medical College)
2.  Other Boards of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:    Peshawar Centre Sher Khan Shaheed (Army) Stadium
3.  Federal and all other Boards of the country     :      As opted by the  applicant from 1 or 2 above

Eligibility for Entry test:

The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:

1. Candidates who have passed Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) examination from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Pakistan, or an equivalent examination overseas, and have obtained at least 60% un-adjusted marks, with combination of subjects listed at serial No.3 below.

2. Candidates who have appeared in Intermediate Part-II (Pre-Engineering) examination and are awaiting their results. However, they must submit their results before the last date of submission of application form for admission.

3. Candidates with Intermediate Exam: certificates must have the following combination of subjects:

  • For all Engineering & Non-Engg. Programmes : Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • For  Computer  Systems  Engg,  Computer  Software  Engg  and  Computer  Science:  Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science.

4. Candidates who have passed three-years post-matric Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) or B-Tech exam and have obtained at least 60% unadjusted marks. These candidates are eligible for admission against their reserved seats in respective disciplines only (not for open merit seats).

Admissions in Undergraduate programs will be on the basis of following categories

  • Open Merit
  • Provincial Quotas
  • FATA Reserved Seats
  • Reciprocal Seats reserved in other Provinces
  • Non-Subsidized Scheme
  • Diploma holders (DAE)/B.Tech reserved quota.

Application Procedure

  • Separate application forms are available for each category.
  • FATA candidates can apply on their reserved seats only.
  • Candidates applying against all other provincial quota seats are required to submit separate application forms available from the Directorate of Admissions, UET, Main Campus, Peshawar.

Candidates who are Hafiz-e-Quran are required to appear before the Admission Committee for oral test in the Conference Hall, UET Main Campus, Peshawar, on 06th August, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. for which no separate call letters will be issued.

Important Note

Undergraduate Prospectus & application forms are available at United Bank Ltd University Campus Branch, Peshawar and from the offices of the Coordinators of all satellite campuses i.e. Mardan, Abbottabad, Bannu & Kohat, on cash payment of Rs. 2,500/-. Application procedure for other Provinces/reserved quotas is given in the Undergraduate Prospectus. Application forms, complete in all respect, should reach the Directorate of Admissions, UET, Main Campus, Peshawar, on or before 1st August 2012 upto 4:00 p.m.

* Please do not wait till the last date. Submit application forms as early as possible to avoid long queues.

* Incomplete applications, and those received after 01/08/2012 shall be rejected.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have appeared in the entrance test conducted by ETEA, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held 08.07.2012.
  • Candidates must have passed Intermediate Pre-Engineering or equivalent examination, by obtaining at least sixty percent (60%) unadjusted marks with the following combination of subjects:-
    • Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry (for all Engineering Programmes)
    • Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science (for Computer System Engineering and Computer Software Engineering).
  • Candidates having three years post matric diploma (DAE) or B.Tech with at least sixty percent (60%) unadjusted marks are eligible to apply against their reserved seats in respective disciplines only. They are INELIGIBLE to apply against open merit seats.

Determination of Merit

Merit of the applicant will be prepared according to the following weight-age:

10% weight-age to SSC Examination

40% weight-age to Intermediate or equivalent examination (adjusted marks)

50% weight-age to Percent marks in entrance test

UET Taxila has announced the undergraduate admissions 2012 on the basis of UET Entry test 2012. UET Taxila does not takes its own entry test. The admission in UET Taxila are on the basis of UET Combined Entry Test which is conducted by UET Lahore. So if you want to apply for undergraduate admission in UET Taxila you have to first appear in the UET Lahore Entry test 2012 and then on the basis of result of this combined UET Entry test you can apply in UET Taxila as well as in all Government engineering institutes of Punjab. The Entry Test of UET Lahore and UET Taxila  is also called UET combined Entry Test 2012 which is conducted for admissions in all Government Engineering Institutes of Punjab. Attachments with the Entry Test Form

  • Photocopy of CNIC or Computerized B-Form issued by NADRA.
  • Photocopy of Father’s CNIC.

Submission of Entry Test Form

  • Entry Test Form complete in all respect should be submitted during the working hours (Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM)

  • Incomplete Entry Test forms and forms sent through Post/Courier are not acceptable.

General Instructions

The application along with the required documents should be submitted as early as possible. Please do not wait for the last date.
As soon as the process of selection is complete, the merit list will be notified showing the percentage of the applicants admitted in different disciplines against different categories.
All documents to be attached with the Application Form (F-I) should be attested by a class-I gazetted officer of the government or a class-A officer of this University.

Required Documents

  • Domicile of Punjab Province is MUST (with latest photograph)
  • In case candidate’s photo graph is missing on domicile, the candidate must have to show (F.Sc + Matric ) Original Result Cards.
  • Attested copy of domicile must be attached with the Entry Test Form.
  • Attested copy of Matric Result Card.
  • Attested photocopy of F.Sc. Result Card/Certificate is MUST.
  • Two passport size photographs attested from back side are essential.

Eligibility Requirements

An applicant for admission to BSc Degree Course in Engineering (under any category) fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • He should have passed the Intermediate (Pre-Engg) Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Pakistan or an equivalent examination so recognized by the university.
    Note: For admission to Computer, Software, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering the candidate having passed F.Sc. with Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science as major subjects will also be eligible.
  • He should have passed the examination (up to the latest annual examintion) on the basis of which he seeks admission.
  • He should have obtained at least 60% marks in examination on the basis of which he seeks admission. Marks for NCC and Hifz-e-Quran, where applicable, shall be added only for determination of merit and not towards eligibility.
  • He should be bonafide resident of the area from where he seeks admission.
  • He should meet standards of physique and eyesight laid down in the medical certificate F-III.
  • He should have appeared in the Entry Test for the respective Session arranged by the University.

Equivalent Examination:

The university recognizes the following examinations as equivalent to the Intermediate (PreEngg) Examination with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics of the Pakistani Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education:

  • Intermediate (Pre-engineering) Examination of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Azad Kashmir;
  • Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics;
  • British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics;
  • F.Sc. (Pre-medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject.
  • American High School Graduation Diploma (HSG Diploma)
  • An equivalent certificate or diploma accepted by IBCC (Inter Board Chairmen Committee).

 

Note: Such applicants are required to attach an equivalence certificate issued by the IBCC, with the application for admission.

Attachments with the Entry Test Form

  • Photocopy of CNIC or Computerized B-Form issued by NADRA.
  • Photocopy of Father’s CNIC.
  • Two Passport size photographs (one to be pasted on the Printed application).
  • Paid Challan Form Receipt No. 1.

Submission of Entry Test Form

  • Entry Test Form complete in all respect should be submitted during the working hours (Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM)
  • It is not essential for an applicant to appear in person for submission to Entry Test Form.
  • Incomplete Entry Test forms and forms sent through Post/Courier are not acceptable.
  • The Entry Test Fee of Rs. 350/- may be deposited on printed challan in any Online HBL Branch in Pakistan.

Requirement of Photo-ID at the Test Centre during Entry Test

Applicants are instructed to bring photo-ID like CNIC, SSC Certificate, Domicile etc. for presentation in the Entry Test centres during the Entry Test.

NOTE:

  • Applicants shall appear for the test in the Entry Test Centre where their applicaion has been submitted.
    Lahore Centre applicants will also be placed in Kala Shah Kaku Campus for Entry Test.
  • Applicants are advised to choose a Test Centre nearest to the District of Domicile and apply at their earliest.
    Seating capacity is limited in each Centre.
  • Applicants will have to choose an alternate test centre in case all seats in a centre of their choice have been filled.

The Entry test of UET Lahore is taken from the FSc Pre Engineering course of Punjab Textbook Board. FSc pre Engineering students have to apply to appear in UET Lahore Entry test 2012.

According to the official notice of UET Lahore the interested candidate must have the certain documents to apply for the UET Lahore Entry Test 2012 as well as UET Lahore Undergraduate Admission 2012.

  1. Domicile Certificate.
  2. Computerized National Identity Card or Computerized B-Form from NADRA.
  3. Certificate, Diploma, Degree or Detailed Marks Certificates of all the examinations on the basis of which admission is sought i.e. H.S.S.C., Diploma of Associate Engineer, B.Sc., B.Tech. (Pass).
  4. Six (6) passport size recent photographs.
  5. Applicants having equivalent foreign qualifications (e.g. A-levels) must obtain Equivalence Certificate from I.B.C.C. (Inter Board Committee of Chairmen).
  6. If you are applying against reserved seats for the Children of Overseas Pakistanis you are required to submit following additional documents:
    • An employment certificate in original (on Form-VIII) of applicant’s Parent (father/mother)in a foreign country issued by the Pakistani Embassy in that country. Form-VIII can be downloaded from our website or can be obtained from the office of the undersigned.
    • A photocopy of resident visa of applicant’s Parent (father/mother), attested by the Pakistani Embassy in that country.
    • Orphan candidates meeting eligibility requirements may be sponsored by their real brother, real maternal or real paternal uncle. Such candidates shall submit an attested photocopy of father’s death certificate along with Form-VIII and acceptable proof of relationship with the sponsor.
    • Note : Scanned / faxed copy of employment certificate and visa shall not be entertained.

FAST has announced the BBA and BS admissions 2012. The admissions will start from 10th June 2012. FAST offers admissions to the interested candidates on the basis FAST Admissions test 2012 or FAST Entry Test 2012. Admission Application for Regular Candidates
The procedure for admission is as follows:
1. The Admission Application Form can be filled online by following the instructions. 
2. The online system assigns a unique Application Reference Number (ARN) to each applicant, which must be noted for later use.
The applicant should then visit the campus, where the admission test is to be taken, along with the following:
a. Two recently taken (3 cm x 2 cm) colour photographs
b. Copy of CNIC or Form-B issued by NADRA (National Database Registration Authority).
c. Application processing fee of Rs 1,000. This fee includes admission test fee for taking one test.
Additional Fee of Rs 500 is payable for each type of Admission Test. For example, for taking both the BBA and the BS tests, or for taking both the MS (CS) and MS (SPM) tests.
d. Required Educational Documents:
For Undergraduate Admission:
i) Original and copy of Matric/O-level Certificate.
ii) Original and copy of Intermediate/A-level Certificate or Roll Number Slip.
For Graduate Admission:
i) Original and copy of all educational Ceritificates/Degrees.
3. The applicant will be required to sign a declaration confirming that the information provided in the Application Form by him/her is correct.
4. Upon payment of the Application Processing and Admission Test Fee(s), the applicant shall receive a duly signed ADMIT CARD bearing the applicant’s TEST ROLL NUMBER and a copy of the Prospectus.

Passed the HSSC or an equivalent examination
Selection Criteria
Selection on the basis of NTS-NAT Marks
Those who have taken NAT-IE, NAT-ICS, NAT-IGS or NAT-ICOM examination can apply for admission to the BBA.
Selection on the basis of NU Admission Test
Merit is determined by assigning 30% weight to marks obtained in Intermediate (part-I) (or an equivalent exam).
For those whose Intermediate results are not available, their Matriculation marks are considered.
Marks obtained in the NU Online Admission Test are assigned the remaining 70% weight.
Selection on the basis of SAT score
Combined score of 1,500 or more in the SAT-I examination

BS (Accounting & Finance)

Eligibility
At least 60% marks in Matriculation or an equivalent examination AND
Passed the HSSC or an equivalent examination
Selection Criteria
Selection on the basis of NTS-NAT Marks
Those who have taken NAT-IE, NAT-ICS, NAT-IGS or NAT-ICOM examination can apply for admission to the BS(Accounting & Finance)
Selection on the basis of NU Admission Test
Merit is determined by assigning 30% weight to marks obtained in Intermediate (part-I) (or an equivalent exam).
For those whose Intermediate results are not available, their Matriculation marks are considered.
Marks obtained in the NU Online Admission Test are assigned the remaining 70% weight.
Selection on the basis of SAT score
Combined score of 1,500 or more in the SAT-I examination

BS (Civil Engineering)

Eligibility
At least 60% marks in Matriculation or an equivalent examination AND
At least 60% marks in HSSC (Pre-Engineering) or an equivalent examination.
Selection Criteria
Selection on the basis of NTS-NAT Marks
Those who have taken NAT-IE examination can apply for admission to the BS(Civil Engineering)
Selection on the basis of NU Admission Test
Merit is determined by assigning 30% weight to marks obtained in Intermediate (part-I) (or an equivalent exam).
For those whose Intermediate results are not available, their Matriculation marks are considered.
Marks obtained in the NU Online Admission Test are assigned the remaining 70% weight.
Selection on the basis of SAT score
Combined score of 1,500 or more in the SAT-I examination, AND
at least 550 in the SAT-II (Math Level IIC) examination

BS (Computer Science)

Eligibility
At least 60% marks in Matriculation or an equivalent examination AND
At least 50% marks in the HSSC or an equivalent examination. Must have studied Mathematics at HSSC level.
Selection Criteria
Selection on the basis of NTS-NAT Marks
Those who have taken NAT-IE or NAT-ICS examination can apply for admission to the BS (Computer Science)
Selection on the basis of NU Admission Test
Merit is determined by assigning 30% weight to marks obtained in Intermediate (part-I) (or an equivalent exam).
For those whose Intermediate results are not available, their Matriculation marks are considered.
Marks obtained in the NU Online Admission Test are assigned the remaining 70% weight.
Selection on the basis of SAT score
